DESTRUCTION OF A ROSE Signs With STANDBY RECORDS
March 15, 2009Las Vegas, Nevada-based metalcore act DESTRUCTION OF A ROSE has inked a deal with Standby Records. The band will enter Lambesis Studios in late March with Tim Lambesis and Daniel Castleman (IMPENDING DOOM, UNDERNEATH THE GUN, AS I LAY DYING) to record its debut EP, due out early summer. "We've recorded with Tim and Daniel before and are anxious to get back in the studio with them," states guitarist Gordon Lamont. "We're going to churn out this EP and then hit the road with NO BRAGGING RIGHTS in April and PLANES CRASH in June."
DESTRUCTION OF A ROSE was the featured unsigned band in a recent issue of Hails & Horns magazine and was also one of the unsigned bands of the month in Alternative Press issue #248.
Regarding the band's new label home, Lamont says, "We had several offers on the table, but felt like Standby was the right label for us. Looking at their roster of artists and how they treat and push their bands, it was the best choice all around. The staff at Standby is legit, and didn't give us the feeling of being your average label guys; they really care about their bands."
